This "Mayan
Riviera"
offers endless white-sand beaches, turquoise Caribbean waters,
swaying palms and endless opportunities for adventure, relaxation,
and fun.
Puerto Morelos
Puerto Morelos
is located just 20 minutes south of Cancun, on the Yucatan coast
of Mexico. It is a fishing community with friendly people, an
unhurried atmosphere, fresh seafood, and inexpensive restaurants.
The town has a small medical center, church, grocery stores, clothing
and craft shops, and a weekly food market.
Puerto Morelos'
white sand beach is great for strolling, frolicking, or resting,
and its aquamarine waters are perfect for swimming, fishing, wind
surfing, and snorkeling or scuba diving in the world's second
largest reef, just 200 yards offshore. The reef is connected to
the Ojo de Aqua, a fresh water spring in the nearby mangrove forest.
